          A Note about my “Color Coding” for “Lines & Spaces”

                 In my classroom experience, I discovered that teaching early learners (age 3 & up) with colors helps them to visualize the notes, lines and spaces on my Treble Clef mats. They quickly learn written notes when you start teaching them about lines and spaces with a visible color. They will transition into black and white later. It’s like training wheels on a bicycle. For early learners (age 3 up) I’m amazed how fast they will learn to sight-read notes on a staff with this method.

The Boom Whackers can be a very useful performance instrument and teaching tool to help reinforce my teaching concept.

I use Boomwhacker Colors

C=Red

D=Orange

E=Yellow

F=Lime Green

G=Green

A=Purple

B=Magenta

Students can also use my Music Note Tiles
